Reflex Gesture UX
Creating a motion-based intuitive Smartphone UX that welcomes every level of user to use it without training
Offering an intuitive Smartphone UX that invites everyone to use it without learning was one of the top goals in the early days of Samsung Galaxy UX. As a UX R&D project, the team and I created a natural motion-based UX that makes the users feel as if they are using real-world objects, like photo slides or music album cases. Using a 3D graphics engine with various mobile sensors,
such as motion and ultrasonic, we created the intuitive Music, Gallery, Launcher, and simple file-sharing UX that does not require tutorials before using. Although Samsung Mobile bought our concept and went further to the production phase, it had to be remained as a research project due to the device limitation.
