Samsung Smartphone Platform UX
Creating a UX design archetype for
the first Smartphone platform of Samsung Mobile
Developing a competitive Smartphone platform based on finger touch rather than a stylus pen was one of the top missions of Samsung back in 2006. Although this mission had never been executed before in Samsung Mobile, three other UX designers and I successfully created the first Smartphone Platform UX archetype for Samsung. The outcome became the UX cornerstone for
various Samsung smartphone platforms, such as Samsung Linux Platform, Tizen, and Galaxy TouchWiz UX, and massively contributed to the great success of Samsung Mobile. The dual windows, drag & drop files, customized widgets in the home screen, and many other UX that we delivered are still popular in Galaxy smartphones.
