Samsung Mobile UX
US, China, Korea
Leading GUI design for more than 80 different mobile devices for
the US, China, Korea, and other worldwide mobile carriers
From 2002 to 2006, I led the Graphic User Interface Design (“GUI”) of the USA and the Chinese CDMA mobiles. Back then, the CDMA typed mobiles played a significant role in promoting Samsung’s UX design since GSM mobiles had to keep to strict standard guides. I consistently delivered creative interactions with desirable styles and successfully shipped these to 80 models for
Sprint and China Unicom. These efforts helped Samsung to reach No.1 in these highly competitive markets. From 2005, I was also asked to go further and design flagship UX for the Korean market. The two flagship models I contributed were recorded as the best-selling mobiles in Korea in 2006.
