Samsung
UX Identity 2008
Establishing the first unified user experience across all
Samsung mobiles, portable media players and digital cameras
In 2007, Samsung tackled the long-pending issue of UX inconsistency among various Samsung products, in mobile phones, MP3 players, portable media players, and digital cameras. Three task forces - UI, GUI, and Auditory UI - were formed. Leading the GUI TF of seven, I worked both as a creative director to deliver the cutting edge visual style and also
a Project Manager responsible for breaking down the silos among the different business divisions. Against all the odds, we successfully created the very first Samsung UX Archetype with a desirable visual, intriguing interaction and delightful experience, and implemented the first UX identity design system across all Samsung products from 2008.
